IndieCade build !
Hi y'all!
We just came back from Indiecade Europe in Paris, where we showed the latest version of choochoo. In the past six months, here are some of the things that have changed :
- We swapped the colors ! Having white (and red&blue) assets on a black background proved less painful to watch with red filters on...
- We mage a new level ! It's a bit bigger and scarier, but we think people like it :3
- Cities are now inside of the screen. No more trains running out of the screen and delivering their wagons where you can't see them.
- We added a lot of small assets, such as a second character, bouncy circles around switches and new cargo types (can you guess what they represent ?)
- Placeholder sound effects and music were added to the game, but they will get better very soon...
Seeing all those people play our silly little game felt so rewarding, and we got tons of super useful feedback! We haven't had the time to debrief all of it yet (I wanted to upload this version first), but we'll do it soon, then rest for a while and starting to prepare the next version of choochoo...
